The Sussex Pad crossing is the best, safe road crossing of the A27 for cyclists for miles around.
Most local cyclists know it well and use it to get from Shoreham across the A27 to Coombs and Steyning.
It’s also used by charity bike rides, pedestrians and horse-riders. But now it’s threatened with closure and only inferior alternatives have been put forward. We need your help to save the crossing.

This year Brighton Housing Trust has teamed up with The Living Coast to create the Greater Brighton Cycling Challenge, comprising three exciting cycling experiences.

The council will shortly begin designing improvements for the third phase of the Valley Gardens project. This will include the Old Steine area and the Palace Pier roundabout.
The council is inviting people to tell them what they think about the area at the moment. The responses will be used to help inform the proposed designs.

Cycling UK needs your help to get more people cycling more safely.
The Government in Whitehall wants to hear what type of cyclist you are, and what you think would make cycling and walking not just safer, but also feel safer. They’re especially keen to hear from people who are less certain on our roads or who have been put off from cycling altogether.
