Brighton Excelsior offers friendly group riding through the Sussex countryside every week of the year. You’ll find male and female riders with an age range of over 50 years. You don’t need to be an elite athlete with an amazing bike and you can try a ride without joining. Their rides set off up a country road called Coombes Lane and at the end of the rides they normally come back down it quite quickly.
Their Blue Run rides average 35 miles, with a café stop, at about 14-15mph average pace.
Their Red Run rides average 50 miles in the summer, with no café stop, and sustain up to 17mph.
