Katy Rodda: London Cycling Campaign – How DO Low Traffic Neighbourhoods work? We’ll look at how design shapes how we use local spaces and cast a close eye on that beloved gnarly issue of boundary roads too. The data says they’re the start of safer and more sociable streets – how does it happen?
Duncan Blinkhorn: Brighton Bike Tours – BBT belongs to a European group of cities that offer cycle tours. Once a year BBT gets to explore another European city to see how the ocal bike tour company operates and to use their local cycling infrature. Cycling is a big draw for tourism and bring money into the city and it could be a geater part fo the economy in the future.
Ade Eribake: Women of Colour Cycling Collective – In 2021, only a few months after getting her first adult bike, Ade thought it would be a good idea to enter an ultra-distance event called London Edinburgh London, which was due to take place the following year. Come & hear all about how it went and the little mind trick that got her out the door on day 1, when reality started sinking in + what amazing adventures she’s been on since!
Q&A compered by Kelly Dibbert

The festival is a not-for-profit programme of inter-linked flash events and venues, with a single purpose to celebrate the many ways in which β€˜BIKES MAKE LIFE BETTER’; an opportunity to bring a broad community of people together to exchange passions, interests, knowledge and experience across a spectrum of bicycle related themes.
This is a self-initiated, grass roots, not-for-profit cultural programme. The events will be largely free to attend through a simple ticket booking system, with a programme which will continuously evolve, and will β€˜pop-up’ at different times of the year.
It is fully supported by Bricycles, providing speakers from the team and funding to help defray expenses. The BETTER BIKE SOCIAL will explore how pedestrian and bicycle prioritised city planning is better at creating more inclusive and accessible neighbourhoods.
