Redesign Fiveways junction to assist cycling and walking, reducing huge area of tarmac.
Improve the cycle lanes on Ditchling Road. Stop obstructive and verge parking by school traffic and many others. Reduce speed limit from National Speed Limit to 40 mph as traffic exits the City and liaise with ESCC to build on-road protected cycle lanes. This was once part of the plan at this location. Improve the hazardous and unpleasant Hollingdean Road and Upper Hollingdean Road for cycling with side entry treatments, resurfacing and parking restrictions. Consider traffic reduction as area under rail bridge dangerous for cyclists and pedestrians.
Create cycle route from Hollingdean Road to Ditchling Road via Hollingdean Lane or Upper Hollingdean Road.
