With traffic at 1955 levels due to the Covid lockdown, Brighton and Hove City Council has closed Madeira Drive to motor traffic. This road is right next to the sea and stretches east from Brighton Pier. It’s great to see people on walking, running, cycling and skating, without having to worry about being run over or breathing in fumes. We think it’ll also be great for business, as Madeira Drive has now become a leisure destination in its own right.
