Shed that lethargy! The new ‘Shed Rides’ are aimed at those slightly reluctant cyclists who have a bike buried under plant pots and half empty pots of paint somewhere in the garden shed! Organiser Howie Blanks said “We recognise that many people are put off cycling because of lack of confidence, traffic or perhaps worried about having to cycle too far out of their comfort zone. If you join one of our rides, you do so, safe in the knowledge that a Shed Bike Ride is over a shorter distance, generally on cycle paths and at a very comfortable pace, led by experienced cyclists.”
Weather permitting, the first ‘Shed Ride’ is on Sunday, January 5th 2014. See:

Kidical Mass Rides Again! Sunday 28 April
A child-friendly urban bike ride – calling on Brighton & Hove Council to invest in cycling, walking and wheeling – will return to the city’s streets on the afternoon of Sunday 28 April 2024.
