Old Shoreham Road cycle lane proposals

bhc_logo.gifBrighton & Hove City Council wants views on proposals for a new cycle route along Old Shoreham Road. The proposed route will run from Brighton, Hove and Sussex Sixth Form College (BHASVIC) in Hove to Applesham Road in Portslade, and also join up with the Grand Avenue cycle route to the seafront.

The aim of the route is to improve safety for cyclists already using
the busy Old Shoreham Road, and encourage more people to cycle. With a
large number of schools in the area plus the sixth form college, it is
hoped the route will encourage more pupils and their parents to cycle.
It will also improve links with parks and leisure facilities, such as
Hove Park, Dyke Road Park and the greyhound stadium, and businesses in
the area.
