Bike Week, 14-22 June 2008

Do you have a Bicycle Users Group at work / college? If not, start one! Get together with other cyclists at work to push for good facilities e.g. covered cycle parking and to encourage others to cycle. One cyclist is one less car parking space, and car parking can cost employers upwards of £1000 a year!

A national celebration of freedom, Bike Week is an annual opportunity to promote cycling as a source of fitness and fun.

Up and down the country, thousands of free cycling events will provide the opportunity for everyone from total novices to passionate cyclists to get on their bikes.

This year Bike Week has teamed up with Nokia and Sport Relief to challenge everyone to get out of their cars, step away from the TV and get on their bikes!

On Sun 15th June, Littlehampton Cycle Action Group have invited Bricycles members to visit Littlehampton and surrounds on their bikes to use new cycle route from Barnham to Felpham in Bognor and then loop back to Barnham, about 20m with cafe/pub lunch stop.
