Yet another successful London Brighton took place last Sunday.
Thousands of tired yet happy cyclists streamed into the city
throughout the day, they were still arriving at 6.00 in the
evening. Two of the more notable finishers were Bill and Ben, no
sign of Little Weed though.
Less sustainable was the scene at Hove seafront lawns where
hundreds of cyclists queued to load their bikes onto lorries
after receiving their issue of bubblewrap. The riders then
boarded coaches for the return journey.
In previous years trains
carried riders and bikes. A far more efficient and sustainable
transportation mode. But the rail company no longer wishes to
help out. It’s clearly not bothered about global warming and
