Cyclist killed

Yesterday, 25
February, a cyclist died after being hit by a car on the A22
near Polegate, East Sussex.

The incident
happened at around 7.30pm approximately one mile north of the
Cophall roundabout. The cyclist died at the scene. The car
driver and his passenger were treated for minor injuries. They
did not need to go to hospital.

Sussex Police are
still trying to identify the cyclist and are appealing for
witnesses to contact them on 0845 6070999.
